Narrators:
Our narrators traditionally have a radio or acting background and are able to change voices for each character then maintain this throughout the entire book. We record in our studio’s here in Spokane Washington though there are a few narrators that have their own studio in their home.
To audition as a narrator you must submit to Books In Motion a recording, in any format, that is no more than 15 minutes in length. If you are uncertain as to what exactly we are looking for, go to our website and listen to a few audio clips from different readers or your local library and check out one of our titles. This will give a perfect example. Work that you have already accomplished, like radio commercials, is not a suitable example. Select a book that you enjoy and that has a few different characters. The book itself does not matter. This will show us your ability to transition from one character to another.

Book Submissions:
Books In Motion primarily produces fiction audiobooks. All that's required to submit your work is to forward your published work (hard copy only no e-editions unless requested) with a cover letter providing us your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Our review process takes a long time so we ask everyone to be patient with us during this procedure as we have many books ahead of you. You will be notified when your title is received in our office and after we have reviewed it.
