Daughter of the Storm by Jeanne Williams

Jeanne Williams has written more than fifty novels, including The New York Times best-seller The Cave Dreamers, the classic A Lady Bought with Rifles, and, most recently the addition to the Books In Motion Audiobook collection, Daughter Of The Storm. A past president of the Western Writers of America, she received her fourth Spur Award for best novel of the West, for Home Mountain.

A Little Bit About Jeanne…

She was born on the High Plains of Kansas beside the tracks of the Santa Fe Trail and her first memories are of dust storms and tumbleweeds. The soul of her writings comes from the fantastic visions of the Southwest.

Many of Jeanne Williams’ books have been out of print but many are now available through Books In Motion in audio format. These include audiobooks published under the pen name, Jeanne Foster. Her books have won four Western Writers of America Spur Awards, and hold the Levi Strauss Saddleman Award for lifetime achievement in Western literature. She lives in a historic adobe ranch house in the Chiricahua Mountains of Southeastern Arizona.

When Mairi MacDonald loses her only daughter at birth, Mairi takes Christy into the warmth and fellowship of the close-knit island community to raise as her own, but finds it hard to welcome the waif into her heart, blaming Christy for taking the place of her true daughter. Longing for a mother’s love, Christy finds companionship with her cherished foster brother David. When David is crippled in a near fatal accident, Christy realizes the true depth of her feelings. But will he ever feel the same for her? Set amidst the rugged beauty of the Isle of Lewis in the last century, Daughter of the Storm is the dramatic tale of a young girl’s faithful love and her passion to preserve a timeless Island heritage.

Gryphon King by Mackay Wood – New Audiobook Release

A land beset by magic

In the High Ages, all lands were one until sorcery and hatred ripped them apart. Athgar, last bastion of that fallen civilization, has been brought to the edge of destruction, drained of men and hope in a terrible war caused by a wizard’s hunger for vengeance.

A young and untried king

In his first tumultuous year of a kingship he never wanted, young Herric must prove his right to hold the High Seat of Athgar. With his foreign bride, witch-born Elaine, Herric faces rebellion and overcoming centuries of hatred to find a lasting peace.

A thousand-year-old prophecy

As enemies gather, Herric and Elaine learn how much harder it is to forge a peace than wage war, especially as the sinistre implications of an age-old prophecy–that the High Kings’ last heir will unite man and mages,or lead all peoples into darkness–begins to affect Herric directly, and all his choices can lead to doom. Can courage, honor–and love–possibly prevail? This is the stirring sequel to Wolf’s Cub.

Triangle of Deception by Haggai Carmon, New Reader Gerald Fierst

How do you penetrate the world’s most secretive and tightly-knit terrorist organization? How do you manipulate its leaders and major supporters to unwittingly serve your goals? Working in a joint CIA/Mossad sting operation, Dan Gordon chose the path of deception – a triangle of deception.

In this fourth installment in the Dan Gordon intelligence thriller series, Dan is on the hunt for the source of funding to terrorist group Hezbollah. He infiltrates the Lebanese network in the Paraguayan terrorist hub, Ciudad del Este, through a Lebanese expat in Sierra Leone, only to realize the operation is even more far-reaching than he has been told. A chase for false documents turns a Shakespearean drama of double identities and uncertain loyalties into a web of lies.

Caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, Dan lands in a grim Romanian jail. Was it a security leak that got him in trouble? Why was he told to abandon top-secret CIA documents in a hotel room in Turkey? Was Dan made a sacrificial lamb for the CIA to make their plan look credible? Has he stumbled on a much bigger plot, one with the potential to unlock Al Qaeda’s machinations in the Americas? And how will he extricate himself from his stickiest situation yet?
