John Sondericker does a superb job of reading Edgar Rice Burroughs first novel. Originally written under the pen name Norman Bean because Burrough's was afraid nobody would buy such a fantastically wild tail.
Originally written in 1912 if you pay attention you will see he foreshadowed a vast number of inventions that were impossible at the time but are now common including: Large Flat Screen Monitors, GPS, Auto pilot for aircraft, radar guided weapons, shoulder fired rockets and exploding munitions, large bomber type aircraft, and space travel. Not bad for his first book written in a time before TV, Movies, or Radio.
A very exciting and enjoyable tale even today nearly 100 years later.
The entire Mars Series is outstanding.
